Parque Eduardo VII: central Lisbon’s largest park

Parque Eduardo VII offers 26 hectares of green space in central Lisbon, as well as interesting greenhouses. Thanks to its location on higher grounds, it’s also a great viewpoint.

If you want nature while discovering Lisbon, your best bet in the center of the city is the Parque Eduardo VII. With its 26 hectares it’s the largest park in the central part of the city. Popular among locals for its greenery, as well as for its cultural events and fairs held here. But definitely also popular among travellers, which are particularly fond of the views on central Lisbon one has from the park.

You’ll find greenery in the park, but also two major greenhouse complexes. One of them houses tropical plants, the other one is specialized in plants from more Northern climates. You can reach the park by walking from central points of the city, or by catching the metro till the stop “Picoas”.
