Parque de El Capricho: park in Madrid, famous for its beauty

Parque de El Capricho isn’t one that close to the city center of Madrid, but to be found in the Alameda de Osuna area of the city, close to Madrid’s main airport. Though it still is one of Madrid’s most popular parks among locals, because if its divine beauty. The park was built a few centuries ago, and therefore carries a lot of historic features, such as the fountains, a palace, etc. Combined with the natural beauty, this creates a unique setting. When you use public transport to reach the park, we advice to take a (aerial) map of the area. Metro station Capricho does stop in the vicinity, but routes to reach the entrance aren’t well signalized.

Next to Parque de El Capricho, one can find the Parque Juan Carlos I. This park is not as much famous for its natural beauty, but more for its area of abstract sculptures, its lake and its amphitheater. It’s Madrid’s second largest park after Casa de Campo, and especially interesting for anyone into open space and abstract art.
