Moment: vegan café/bistro in interesting neighbourhood of Prague

Interesting about the Prague and Czech Republic’s culinary habits seems to be that it’s still perceived as a predominantly meat-eating culture, while in reality many people are becoming vegan (and even the raw cuisine is gaining a lot of ground). This results in Prague having a flourishing vegan cuisine, for which Moment is a great introduction. This café/bistro serves tasty vegan dishes, for any moment of the day. Many of the dishes include vegan eggs and cheeses (if you have never tried these, Moment serves good ones, ideal to try them out). I had a toast with a vegan “egg salad” here, which provided me with some much needed energy for a further exploration of the city.

Ingredients used at Moment are mainly local and seasonal, many coming from local farmers’ markets. If you have some spare coins, there is an abundant choice of charity money-boxes to deposit them in. The area is highly popular with locals, bustling with cafes, shops and cultural life, which makes Moment an ideal introduction into the vegan cuisine, but also to more local areas of Prague.
