Jardín de Monforte: neo-classical gardens in Valencia

Jardín de Monforte can be found just out of the city center, towards the Mestalla neighbourhood, in the vicinity of the Jardines del Real. It’s definitely a must for anyone interested in botanics and gardens, with 12 hectares of neo-classical designed greenery. It’s not really a “park”, but a finely designed garden.

The park is named after the small hill you can find inside (and which you could climb). Next to a wide abundance of trees and greenery, you can find several statues and fountains (sometimes with fish inside). The park is also famous for being a haven of feral cats (semi-wild cats). It’s just a nice stop for the greenery and nice design to be found here, especially if you happen to be in the area.
