El Perro Gamberro: vegan tavern in Madrid with homemade food

El Perro Gamberro was established in central Madrid in October 2016. A small, charming place with a lovely interior, including many upcycled items. All food served here is vegan, ranging from burgers to wraps to sandwiches, tapas and more. And sustainability runs throughout their entire concept.

Sustainability in the way that El Perro Gamberro believes in absolute homemade food. It means they use the freshest ingredients and prepare the dishes from scratch. As an example, the bread that is served is not just a frozen, industrial one, but comes from an artisan baker (very scarce in Spain!), baking the bread in a traditional way.

But their aim for sustainability also means that besides the vegan food, you’ll find sustainable drinks, such as local craft beers and organic wine. All of that in a very welcoming setting, with joyful staff and fair prices. You’ll feel upon entering that this business is ran with a heart, and that’s what we love!
