Ale&Hop - Good Goal - The sustainable guide

First note: this place has nothing to do with the shops carrying a similar name. This Ale&Hop is much more interesting! Ale&Hop is located at a nice, non-touristy square in El Born. This area has a great atmosphere and loads of nice little businesses to discover. Ale&Hop is one of these and is the perfect place to try some artisanal craft beers. You’ll find several local Pale Ale’s and IPA’s; the beers on tap change weekly but always include a stout, a wheat beer, an amber and a lager. As the name suggests: hop is a passion at this bar – restaurant.

The food they serve is vegetarian (with vegan options) and very tempting to carnivores as well; we never heard one complaining but instead noticed many being surprised by the taste of this vegetarian food. Prices for drinks and food are not expensive. In the evening, this bar gets full of local people, and you’ll feel the welcoming air that is hanging around. It’s not far away from more touristy areas, but just far enough to find some local vibe. The staff is friendly and will help you choosing the best beer (and/or meal). And that sustainability isn’t just about the beer and vegetarian here shows the selection of other drinks available (organic drinks, organic wine, specialty coffee from ONNA, etc.).

One thing is for sure, a craft beer just tastes so much better than an industrial one. At Ale&Hop you’re lucky, you can even bring your veggie friends to do some tastings! Nice beer, good food, it’s the perfect description of Ale&Hop.
